Plantarium© is a line of products and educational activities for children derived from aerospace technology, produced in our workshops, in order to recreate the nutritive and non-toxic culture media for life of plant and animal ecosystems.
Kids can build their own ecosystem, place the seeds and observe the growth of plants using the transparent color gel. The seeds are basil, cucumber, sunflower, tomato. Once grown, plants can be transplanted in the garden or in a pot.

OBSERVE THE PLANT GROWTH-INSTRUCTIONS
1-preparing the GEL
Pour into a container suitable for microwave cooking (preferably glass) or in a saucepan clean:
- the liquid contained in the packet
- 4.5 grams of sugar (usually the contents of two spoons from the)
- 150 ml of distilled water or bottled
Mix well with a fork, until no lumps. Bake in a microwave oven at 500 W or on the stove over low heat (only in a water bath). Cook long enough to boil the liquid, without letting it escape. Boil for 20 seconds.
Divide the neutral liquid obtained in three containers provided and add the powder in a capsule in each bowl until the liquid is still hot.
Mix well with a fork, until no lumps and go straight to the next step (repeated Firing for the coloration). Bake in a microwave oven at 500 W or on the stove over low heat (only in a water bath). Cook long enough to boil the liquid, without letting it escape. Boil for 20 seconds.
We suggest to use gloves or protections to avoid contact with the hot liquid. Wait until the complete cooling of the liquid.
Now you can begin your exploration of the world of plants.
ANY REMAINING LIQUID CAN BE FROZEN AND, WHEN HEATED, USED AGAIN (OR DELETED AS A COMMON REJECTION).
2-seeding PLANTING
Caution: do not touch the seeds or the gel with your hands.
Dropping the seeds from the capsule into the gel and push them under its surface for about 2 mm using the stick included.
Then arrange the containers PLANTARIUM in a dark place for a more rapid germination. Germination will be slower in a lit environment.
After about a week the seeds will sprout and after about two weeks the buds will reach the surface of the gel.
As soon as even a single seed will be surfaced by the gel, place the PLANTARIUM in a bright place, but never with direct sunlight.
Once the seedlings have grown, reaching the cover of PLANTARIUM, or if there are patches of mold on the surface of the gel, then it’s time to transplant them into the Earth, since all the nutrients contained in the gel were used from seedlings.
The presence of mildew stains indica that your plant has used all the nutrients contained in the gel. It’s time to plant it in the ground.
3- Transplanting on Ground
Using the spatula long extract the gel with the plan; Rinse well the gel from the roots and place the map on a damp cloth.
Extract the seedlings, rinse the gel from the roots and place the plants on a damp cloth.
Take the pads of peat and put them in a container or in a cup and add a little at a time up to 120 ml of water and wait for the peat to expand. Help the pads to absorb all the water by moving with the wooden stick.
Divide the peat in small brown jars included.
Repot the little plants, to one third of their length in the peat, and place them in a bright place but without direct sunlight.
Watering every other day without moisten too peat.
As soon as the seedlings will be solid and rooted, the tiny seedling may ² be transplanted in pots or in the garden.
